The Business

Sally Harrison Estate Agents opened in July 2001 at 8 Church Street in the centre of Barnoldswick, with just 6 properties.

Initially mainly selling properties in Barnoldswick, Earby and the surrounding villages, the business progressed and grew very quickly and our excellent reputation for providing an exceptional level of customer care and service by going the extra mile for all our clients, as well as honest and straight forward advice and pro-active marketing, has resulted in us attracting sellers not only throughout Pendle, but into the outskirts of Burnley, North Yorkshire and the Ribble Valley.

Although Sally Harrison Estate Agents has been established since 2001, Sally herself has well over 3 decades of knowledge and experience in the business and the majority of our team have many years of practice in the trade too.

The Team

Sally Harrison

The business was founded and is still run by Sally, who started her career in Estate Agency, in the same premises as the business is currently run, early in 1989. Immediately prior to setting up her own business, she had been Branch Manager for 2 Corporate Estate Agents, simultaneously running offices in Barnoldswick and Colne. Prior to that she was a Legal Secretary for a firm of Solicitors in Barnoldswick, dealing primarily with property sales.

Sally was born in Kelbrook and has lived in the area all her life, having bought her first house in Barnoldswick at the age of 21, as well as having worked locally since the age of 17, so she not only has an unmatched knowledge of the area and local market conditions, she is also very well known and involved within the community. For several years now she has been selling houses to the children of couples who bought their first homes from her when she worked for Black Horse Agencies.

She has been an inspiration to her dynamic and dedicated support and sales staff for decades and continues to be so to this day.

Lindsey Bottomley

Sales Manager & Valuer

I’ve worked for Sally on and off since 1993, initially back to our Black Horse Agencies days, and have experience in every aspect of Estate Agency. I have held positions in other sales environments and even run a public house for 12 months with my long term partner, but I’ve always come back to working in Estate Agency and selling houses, as this is what I really most enjoy and feel 100% comfortable with.  I have held my current position as Valuer and Sales Manager for Sally Harrison Estate Agents since 2013 and I get so much satisfaction in helping and advising our clients throughout what is usually the sale of their biggest asset and also doing the same for buyers up to the point of handing keys over to them once completion of a sale has taken place.

I love my job and couldn’t see me doing anything else. My partner and I own a holiday home in Spain and every time we are there I’m constantly looking at property. In my spare time I like to socialise, go on holiday and out of work, my family are my main priority, especially my gorgeous grandson.

Angie Snell

Sales Negotiator

I am one of the Sales Negotiators at Sally Harrison Estate Agents, job sharing with my colleague, Sandra. I initially worked for Sally from 2001 to 2006, then left to set up my own Estate Agency out of the area, which I enjoyed. However, after becoming a grandmother, I didn’t want the pressure of running a business and wanted to be employed again, so came back to work for Sally in 2018. I love my job and have moved and renovated numerous homes over the years myself as well as building up experience over 20 years working in the property sector.  My other passions are my family and friends, in particular my beautiful grandchildren – all 4 of them – gardening, walking, camping, skiing. I could go on and on but won’t bore you!

Sandra Holmes–Smith

Sales Negotiator

I joined SHEA 4 years ago after many years working in the world of retail and brought with me decades of customer service and sales experience.

I am passionate about my job role as Sales Negotiator and especially love doing viewings on our properties with prospective buyers and negotiating then reaching agreement on offers received from buyers with our seller clients. I really enjoy helping people find their first or next home, or others to buy rental investments. It is also very satisfying knowing that I’ve achieved a good result for our sellers and helping and guiding them throughout the whole selling process. I often have to deal with issues and problems that crop up along the way, which can be very challenging at times, but it is extremely rewarding when I manage to resolve them and see the sale through to completion.

Outside of work, I focus on spending quality time with my husband and son.

Paula Kitson

Viewer and Trainee Assistant Valuer

I am the second newest member of the team, as I began my new career in Estate Agency with Sally in January 2021. Coming from a corporate background in sales, my real passion is in properties, having carried out several renovations. I thought I should follow my dream and help people find their first or next home, or an investment property.

I began my journey at Sally Harrison Estate Agents as the Weekend Viewer and have progressed my role in the team by learning new skills and I’m now working as part of the Sales Team and I am training as an Assistant Valuer and Property Lister. I also do our floor plans too.

Terrie Taft

Administrator and PA

As the most recent addition to the Sally Harrison team, I am new to the world of Estate Agency and am excited for my future here! I come from an Administrative background and live in Barnoldswick. My family and I have bought and sold a few properties over the years and have a great interest in the property market.
